Day 01Arrive Colombo – Pinnawala – Dambulla

Arrive at Colombo airport and immediately depart to Pinnawala and visit Elephant Orphanage. Later, depart to Dambulla via Kandalama. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Dambulla.


Day 02Dambulla – Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Aukana – Dambulla

After B/F, drive to Anuradhapura and visit two world heritage sites The Brazen Palace and Ruwanweliseya, Samadhi Buddha Statue, etc. Thereafter, transfer to Mihintale where Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka. Also, visit the Aukana Buddha Statue which is beyond doubt the most magnificent, undamaged statue in Sri Lanka. Return back to your hotel at Dambulla. Over Night stay at Dambulla.

Day 03Dambulla – Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Dambulla

After B/F, drive down to Polonnaruwa which is World Heritage Site. See the ruins of the Ryal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in ‘Upright’, ‘Sedentary’ and ‘Recumbent’ postures carved out of rock, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of King Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya – a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. Over Night stay at Dambulla. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Later, depart to Sigiriya. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site. The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 m. from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted on plaster using earth pigments. Return back to your hotel at Dambulla. Over Night stay at Dambulla.

Day 04Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

After B/F, check-out from Dambulla and visit World Heritage Site Dambulla Rock Temple. Later, depart to Matale to visit a Spice Garden. Here, tourists could see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Thereafter, proceed to another World Heritage Site – Kandy. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. In the evening visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter witness a cultural show. Over Night stay at Kandy.

Day 05Kandy – Peradeniya – Nuwara Eliya – Kandapola

After B/F, check-out from Kandy Hotel and depart to Peradeniya to visit Botanical Garden which was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala King and has been expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants flowers.and

Thereafter, transfer to Nuwara Eliya. En-route, visit a tea plantation and a tea factory where the best tea in the world is produced. Here you could observe the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Continue to Nuwara Eliya. Because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort. Finally head towards Kandapola and check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Kandapola.

Day 06Kandapola – Udawalawe – Kataragama

After B/F, check-out from Kandapola and depart to Udawalawe. Thereafter, do a safari of The Udawalawe National Park by jeep. Thereafter, transfer to your hotel at Kataragama. Over Night stay at Kataragama.

Day 07Kataragama – Galle – Ambalangoda – Kosgoda – Colombo

After B/F, check-out from Kataragama and depart to Galle known for hand-made lace. Visit the World Heritage Site Galle Fort. Thereafter, transfer to Ambalangoda, a charming seaside town on the south-western coast. It is the home of the mask carvers. These colourful masks are used by dancers performing exotic rituals and folk dances. There is also an Old Dutch Church. Transfer to Kosgoda. In Kosgoda, visit the Turtle hatchery which is being operated by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Several species of turtles, especially the endangered, hawksbill are protected here. Later, transfer to Colombo. Visit 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings, the Pettah Bazaar, a Hindu and a Buddhist Temple, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). Over Night stay at Colombo.

Day 08Colombo – Onward Destination Journey

After B/F, check-out from Colombo Hotel and transfer to the Airport to board a flight departing for onward destination journey.
