Day 01Arrive Budapest – Gyor

On arrival Budapest Airport, transfer to Gyor. This town is the so called “City of Rivers” with beautiful baroque downtown. It is said, that it has the most old buildings after Budapest and Sopron. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Over Night stay at Gyor.

Day 02Gyor – Sopron

After B/F, walking tour in Gyor. From outside, visit the most important buildings and squares, including the Main Square, Napoleon’s house, the Chapter Hill and the Cathedral. Check-out from Gyor Hotel and transfer to Sopron, the ‘most faithful town’, as the inhabitants voted to remain Hungarian in 1921, instead of being part to Austria. Take a walking tour in the downtown area. Over Night Stay at Sopron.

Day 03Sopron – Heviz

After B/F, check-out from Sopron and transfer to Keszthely, a lakeside town at the Balaton. Visit the inner town and the palace. In the afternoon you will arrive in Heviz. The greatest attraction of the region is the Thermal Lake, which is unique in the world. You must bath in the lake. Over Night Stay at Heviz.

Day 04Heviz – Miskolc / Miskolctapolca

After B/F, check-out from Heviz and transfer to Tihany, where you will visit the Benedictine Abbey, then continue to Balatonfured, where you do a short walk on the Rabindranath Tagore Walkway. Early afternoon, you continue to East Hungary, en-route stop at Godollo and visit the ‘Sisi’ Palace. Arrive in Miskolc in the evening and check-in to your hotel. Day 05Miskolc / Miskolctapolca

After B/F, you will visit Miskolc and the Diosgyor Castle. You will then be transferred to Aggtelek, where you take a short tour in the dripstone caves (UNESCO World Heritage). Over Night Stay at Miskolc / Miskolctapolca.

Day 06Miskolc / Miskolctapolca

After B/F, take an excursion to Lillafured, walk around the lake, in beautiful natural environment. Then continue to Szilvasvarad, which is famous for its waterfalls, Lipizzaner horses and the trout. In the evening enjoy bathing in the cave bath of Miskolctapolca. Over Night Stay at Miskolc / Miskolctapolca.

Day 07Miskolc / Miskolctapolca – Debrecen

After B/F, check-out from Miskolc / Miskolctapolca and transferred to Tokaj. This region is one of the most important wine regions of Hungary, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and home of the Tokahi Wine: the ‘Wine of Kings, King of Wines’. Here you will take a short walk and also do a wine tasting tour. Then continue to Sarospatak to visit the castle. After the visit, travel to Debrecen, nicknamed as the ‘Calvinist Rome’. Over Night Stay at Debrecen.

Day 08Debrecen City Tour

After B/F, today your will do a city tour in Debrecen, and visit the Great Reformed Church. Rest of the day is free for shopping and individual discoveries. Over Night Stay at Debrecen.

Day 09Debrecen – Budapest

After B/F, today your will be transferred to Hortobagy. After a horse show, in course of a short carriage ride you can feel the atmosphere of the ‘puszta life.’ Then have lunch in the typical Hungarian ‘Csarda’. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Budapest. Over Night Stay at Budapest.

Day 10Budapest City Tour

After B/F, in the morning, you will do a Budapest city tour that includes the most important attractions of the capital. Rest of the day is free for shopping or individual discoveries or museum visits. Over Night Stay at Budapest.

Day 11Budapest Excursion Danube Bend

After B/F, you will do an excursion to the Danube Bend, with renaissance lunch (optional). The Danube Bend is a beautiful region located close to Budapest, and is rich in cultural and natural treasures. The tour takes you through: Esztergom, center of the Hungarian Church, with the biggest Cathedral in the country; Visegrad, with its citadel and palace of King Matthias Corvinus; and Szentendre, the ‘Town of Artists’, with its meandering small streets, old churches, museums and shops. You will arrive back to Budapest in the evening, and have your fare well dinner cruise with the beautiful luminous attractions along the River Danube. Over Night Stay at Budapest.

Day 12Budapest – Air – Onward Destination Journey

After B/F, check out from Budapest hotel and transfer to Budapest Airport to board a flight departing for onward destination journey.
